112 HR 2829 IH: United Nations Transparency, Accountability, and Reform Act of 2011
Introduced August 30, 2011
U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) chair of the House Foreign Relations Committee, introduced an enormous money-saving bill -- the "United Nations Transparency, Accountability and Reform Act of 2011." (H.R. 2829) Simply stated, the bill means "to promote transparency, accountability and reform within the United Nations system, and for other purposes."
In 2010, the United States gave, from the U.S. taxpayers, 22% to the United Nations budget!
This bill is not only sensationally important as far as upholding the sovereignty of the United States, but it also cuts our gross financial attachment with the United Nations.
